Gloria was born on October 6, 1938 in Shreveport, LA. She moved to San Francisco, CA in 1940. Gloria was the mother of 7 children. She met James F. Richardson on November of 1981. They were married on November 27, 1982. He accepted his calling to the Ministry and she was his avid and faithful co-worker.
Each church that she belonged, whether it was New Hope, Vancouver Avenue, House of Prayer For Nations or True Vine, she was a hard worker. Even as a pastors’ wife, she always pitched in wherever and whenever she was needed.
Mom, "Glo D", "G-Ma" or "GG" as she was called by some, enjoyed serving, but her favorite pass time was fishing. If she was not at home or at church, she could be found on the "fish creek". Her favorite fishing buddies were Sam, Corlis, Natasha and Jaime.
She leaves behind, (sons or daughters)Sheree D. Chambers (Jarvis), Terence C. Burns, Yvonne Boone, Nigel Burns, Nidra Madison (Roderick), Natasha Posadas (Jaime), and her very special daughter Karla Bergeron; Thirty-five Grand Children, Twenty-four Great Grandchildren and one Great-Great Grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her two mothers, Erma Johnson (birth mother) and Ola Milligan (aunt), Husband, Pastor James F. Richardson, Yana Jones (daughter), Frank E. Jones (son) Grand-Sons Carlos Flores, Sean Burns and Cousin, Constance Baker.
Burial will be at Willamette National Cemetery at 1:30pm followed by a gathering at the Richardson family residence; the address is 5305 NE 57th Avenue, Portland, Oregon from 3:00-6:00pm. Thank You.
