Gene Martin

Gene Martin passed away on January 6, 2013 in Portland, Oregon. Gene was born in Lewiston Minnesota and grew up in Scotts Bluff Nebraska, where he graduated from high school. The family moved to Oregon during the war in the early 1940's. Gene married Eunice Bakken in 1949, in Portland, Oregon.

Gene worked for Danner Shoes, Dornbecker Furniture and several other jobs before settling down as a Mechanic on Diesel Trucks. He and his wife loved Scandanavian Dancing, Polka and May festivals and loved taking trips in their Mobile home around the Northwest.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents, wife Eunice Martin, brother Henry Martin, sisters, Molly Baxter, Mary Green, and Christina Lind. He is survived by son Randy (Ann) Martin of Sandy, Oregon, brothers, Manuel Martin of Gresham, Oregon, Dave Martin of Key Largo Fl, and Scott Martin of Cakifornia, his twin sister Arlene Walker of Bend, Oregon, granddaughters, Natalie Burton, Andrea Dunn, and Jennifer Malcom, great-grandchildren, Helen burton, Isla Burton, Finlay Dunn, Annalise Cameron, Beck Cameron, Calla Malcom and Jaron Malcom.
