Throughout his life, Dave was known for his heartfelt laughter, warm smile, and kind-hearted ways. Born on Vancouver Island on March 16th, 1927, Dave spent his formative years in Pendleton, Oregon and was an avid outdoorsman and an accomplished athlete. He loved to fish and hunt pheasant and was an 800 meter runner and basketball player. He also served in the Naval Forces during WW II and later graduated from the University of Oregon School of Dentistry. For many years, Dave was a beloved dentist in Eugene with a thriving practice. He was an active and beloved member of the Eugene community and always had a kind word or a moment to be a listening ear for anyone who needed it.
Predeceased by his parents and cherished brother, Eric Robathan, Dave is survived by his son, Bill Robathan, and three children through his marriage to Connie Robathan:Bill Cornog, Carolyn Woofter, Ginny Krzenski . Dave’s memory will also be honored and loved by eight grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and other extended family members.
Dave’s Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 4th at 4pm in Washington Park in Portland, Oregon.
