David was an excellent Hockey Player and was also very dedicated to hunting. He was an avid hunter who hunted for over 37 years with his dad in the Mt. Emily area NE of LaGrande Oregon. The joy of the outdoors, hunting and fishing was what David loved the most. David began ice skating when he was 4 years old. He was awarded the Hustle Award from the Portland Winterhawks for three consecutive years. David also skated for the Portland Midget ”A” which was a travel team playing many of their games in Canada. Davie was twice selected to participate in pre-Olympic selection process in Colorado Springs, Colorado where the U. S. Amateur Hockey is headquartered. David’s recent occupation was driving his pilot car moving heavy equipment and oversized loads. He enjoyed this work very much.
David was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary J. Baker, Robert E. Robertson and Earnestine Robertson. He is survived by his parents, Louis “Neil” and Mary Branze of Vancouver, Washington and Seaside Oregon and his constant companion Missy, his little trail dog. A celebration of life service is scheduled for Saturday, October 17, 2015, 2:00pm at The Ross Hollywood Chapel. In honor of David's memory, donations are encouraged to be made to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
