Brian Arthur Lake

Brian was born July 11, 1943 in Portland, Oregon to Melvin and Jean Lake and he passed away on February 20, 2023 of unknown complications. Brian had been disabled for the last five years due to back issues and Neuropathy. Brian loved sports, but his love for basketball and golf were his favorites. If it was on television he was watching especially his Ducks. He attended Kennedy Grade School, Grant High School and then University of Oregon where he earned a BS in Economics.

Prior to attending U of O, he spent 6 months in the Oregon National Guard. After graduation, he went to work for Goodyear Tire in the warehouse NW Portland. From Goodyear, he worked for Jantzen, Inc. for 25 years where he held various management positions. He continued in the textile industry for Pine Crest Fabrics in the sales department for nearly 20 more years before retiring.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Laurie Dahlstrom Lake. Brian was preceded in death by his brother, John (Debi). He’s survived by his brothers Thomas, William (Diane) and sister Christine Wryn (Denis). Brian also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews.

A private burial will be held. Celebration of Life will be planned for a later date. Contributions can be made to your favorite charity.
