Tom J. Gallant passed away February 10th 2023 at the Portland Maine, Medical Center after a courageous battle with health issues stemming from diabetes. Tom was born February 8, 1977, to Dennis Michael Gallant and Deborah Loris Bruns Gallant on Nellis Air Force Base, Las Vegas, Nevada. He is predeceased, by his grandparents Hannah Murray, Elmer Bruns and Betty Cota and his father-in-law Charles (Joe) Harold Morrill.
Tom has always been very active in the community even as a child where he was awarded the Fitchburg youth commission Award. This dedication continued as he aged with working with big sisters and big brothers, Neman Club, relay for life, leading up to him, joining vista America corps where he helped colleges start programs to fight hunger in Maine, and help support veterans.
Tom was always a dedicated husband, father, and son. Always ensuring his family came first, engaging in School activities with his Daughter, and Work activities with his wife.
Tom is survived by his wife, Cherie Dawn Morrill Gallant. of West Paris, Me., his daughter Hannah, also of West Paris, Me. His parents, Dennis Michael Gallant , and Deborah Loris Bruns Gallant of Rumford Maine. One, Sister Brandee Lou-Anne Gallant Benson, and her husband, Andrew Joseph Benson of Fitchburg, Mass. One brother-in-law David Alan Morrill, of Lisbon, Maine. Two sisters-in-laws Shana Beth Morrill of Richmond, Maine, and Tina Ayers of South Paris Maine. One mother-in-law Ann Morrill. And two nephews Hadden and Michael and one niece Adrianna, and godfather to Kim Ramolt.
