Portland- Sue Ann Lewis, 83, of Portland, passed away on January 3, 2015 after a brief illness. She was born on Dec. 16, 1931, in Missouri, a daughter of Clifford and Edna Lynn Williams. In Sept. of 1961, she married John A. Lewis. Sue had a desire for caring for others and worked as a CNA at many different nursing homes in the Portland area. She had a passion for spending time with her family, especially the once a week card and board games with her daughter and grandchildren. Sue had many hobbies including crocheting, crosswords and listening to music. Some of her favorites were Willie Nelson, Kenny Rogers and Julio Iglesias. She loved traveling home to Missouri to visit family when she could and reading, especially romance novels. There were times that her love for reading would allow her to finish 1 or 2 books a day.
Sue is survived by her husband, John A. Lewis; daughter, Patricia Duquette and her husband Michael; grandchildren, Michelle Owen and her husband Shawn and Scott Duquette; great-grandchildren, Justice, Riley, Chloe, Lydia and Anthony. She is also survived by her half-sister, Sharon Crumm.
Family and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation from 4-7 pm on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Jones Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St. Portland. A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, January 13th at Evergreen Cemetery in Portland.
