Lindola M. Macvane

Lindola Madaline (Minnow) Macvane, age 74 of Westbrook ME, passed in her sleep December 27, 2014 while visiting her son in Los Angeles, California. Lindola was born on August 8, 1940 in Portland, Maine the daughter of Isaac H Chase of Fort Kent Maine and Laurette Blanche Miclette of Woonsockete Rhode Island. She was one of nine children growing up in Portland and Old Orchard Beach, Maine. She was predeceased by brothers George and Dennis as well as her sisters Rita, Georgette, and Cara. Lindola was also predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Dwight R. Macvane.

She is survived by sisters Marceline Harold, Earline Sanford and Lori Stirewalt, sons Dwight Macvane Jr. and Kevin Macvane, step daughters Debra Jensen and Lisa Kelly and her grandchildren Jennifer, Lauren, Damian, Adriana, Skye, Patrick, Zack, Baily, and Nathan.

Although Lynn worked in enviromental services at nursing homes in her later working years, she will be fondly remembered as the crossing school lady at the intersection of Deering and Brighten Ave.(Oakdale corner) by the law school. lynn loved Christmas the house always decorated to the hilt for the holiday with every one getting a present no matter how she knew them. Lynn was also very involved in the VFW 6859 Ladies Auxillary.

There are no visiting hours scheduled. Funeral services will be held at Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home 199 Woodford Street Portland, Maine at 10:00 A.M. with a reception to follow at VFW at 687 forest Ave, Portland, Maine.
