She was born on 22 Oct 1949, in Norway, Maine, to William and Christine (Buck) Tuttle. She lived in Maine most of her life. She worked first as a CNA, then as med-tech for senior homes in the area. Linda loved caring for others, and she enjoyed roller skating, dancing, crochet, number-painting, playing and working BINGO at Pleasant St Hall, but especially loved family. She was blessed with a son from her first marriage, and gained three more children when she married Joseph Remillard in 1985.
Linda was predeceased by her parents, brother Robert Truman, her son, John Hibbard, Jr, and stepdaughter Michelle (Remillard) Sarafin.
She is survived by siblings Kenneth (Kathy) Tuttle of Gorham; Penny (Dana) Asdourian of Scarborough; Harold (Thelma) Truman of California; children Jaunna (Jay) Batty of Missouri; Tom Remillard of Tennessee; grandchildren Chris Badger, Doug Haas, Corey Haas, Lukas Fogel, Tiffany Ragan, Danielle Ragan, as well as several great grandchildren and extended family.
Linda was also blessed with some special people that were “family of the heart”. Those include Gary Steadman and his sons, Jamison, Caleb, Tyler and Cameron, with whom Linda made her home in Jay over the past year, Sharon Bazinet of Lewiston and Kaylee Pendexter of Auburn.
Linda is also remembered as ‘mom’ or ‘meme’ to many in the Lewiston/Auburn area, and will be remembered by many for her kindness, love, down-east accent, humor, and laughter.
Linda spent her last days at the Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn where she received exceptional care. At Linda’s request, there will be no funeral, but there will be an informal gathering at the family burial site in South Paris on May 20.
