Scarborough, ME- George J. Anderson, II, 80, of Maple Avenue, passed away on December 4, 2024 at Maine Veterans Home in Scarborough. He was born on July 23, 1944, in Geneva, NY, a son of Dr. Philip W. and Dorothy (Robbins) Anderson.
George was in the U S Navy where he was a Petty Officer, Third Class, and served aboard The USS Essex (CV-9) aircraft carrier, during The Vietnam Conflict.
His work in life included being a stone & brick mason contractor with a partner, Ray Levesque, he drove tractor trailer dump for Bridge Construction, Augusta, ME, he drove Armored Truck for Brinks Security, Portland, ME, was a Manager of The Trackside Lounge at Beech Ridge Speedway, Scarborough, ME and was most recently a lobsterman on F/V Worthy out of Ferry Beach, Scarborough, ME. George held a Captains License with The U. S Coast Guard
George was a jack of all trades. He could fix almost anything he owned or what friends brought him to fix. He possessed a quick wit and a gift of gab. He enjoyed deer hunting, ice fishing and fishing in the ocean. He especially loved going out and having a good time with his friends.

He was pre-deceased by three sons, Steven Anderson, James Anderson and George J. Anderson III (GJ).
He is survived by a sister, Cynthia Neal of Richmond, VA.
