Falmouth- Barbara K. Mullin, 81, of Cumberland Foreside, passed away on May 7, 2014 at Falmouth by the Sea. The daughter of William F. and Teresa (Keats) Kane, she was born in Arlington MA, on July 24, 1932. She attended St. Agnes School and graduated as Valedictorian from Arlington High School. She graduated from Lasell College to become a registered medical technologist at Boston Deaconess Hospital.
She married her high school sweetheart, Jack, on September 11, 1954 at St. Agnes Church. They raised their five children while living in Hawaii, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and for the last 45 years in Cumberland Foreside.
Barbara was a very active member of Holy Martyrs Church in Falmouth, having begun the morning rosary group over 25 years ago, she was also a Eucharistic Minister and Religious Education teacher.
She was an intelligent, caring, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all.

That sums up Barbara Mullin. She was a compassionate friend to all, who was forever willing and able to lead or assist in her talented and gracious way.
She was predeceased by her granddaughter Jamie Mullin, and grandson David P. Twomey III.
She is survived by her husband Jack, her daughter Deb Mullin Twomey, and her husband David of Cumberland, her sons Jay Mullin and his wife Lee of Murrells Inlet South Carolina, Patrick Mullin of Portland Maine, Bill Mullin of Cumberland Maine, and David Mullin of Raleigh North Carolina, and 12 remaining grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to attend Barbara’s wake on Monday, May 12, 2014 from 3-6 PM at Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St. Portland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Holy Martyrs Church, 266 Foreside Rd. Falmouth. Interment will follow at Pinegrove Cemetery in Falmouth.
The Mullin family would like to thank the many caring and compassionate medical people who were so good to Barbara- those angels from R-2 at the Maine Medical Center, the 4th and 5th floor staff at Mercy Hospital, and most especially Dr. Richard Marino and the entire care giving team at Falmouth by the Sea.
