Walter was born in the Bronx, New York to the late Walter Ralph Sr. and Alice Wolff before moving to Hillside, New Jersey in the fifth grade. He graduated from Hillside High School in 1964 and joined the Woodbridge Police Department in October of 1971. He retired after 36 years of service and fulfilled his dream of moving to Florida. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Walter was an avid sports fan. He loved the Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Rangers, New York Giants and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy, of 43 years; his daughter, Kimberly; stepson, Peter; granddaughter, Madison; twin brother, William and his wife Charlotte; brother John and his wife Patrice; brother Richard and his wife LouAnne; brother Thomas and his wife Kim; many nieces and nephews; and his granddog Hank. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Private cremation will be under the direction of Aycock Funeral Home in Port Saint Lucie. A mass to celebrate Walter’s life will take place at 10:30 am on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 930 SW Tunis Ave. Port Saint Lucie, Florida.
