Ted was born in Lansing, Michigan to the late Theodore and Mary Center. Ted worked in education for many years as a teacher and principal in Michigan. He was a member of The Fraternity of eagles Aerie #4217 and Knights of Columbus #7623 in Hale. In Ypsilanti, Michigan he was on the Alumni Association for Eastern Michigan University. Ted was very active in the Catholic Church for many years as a parishioner at St Pius in Hale and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Port St. Lucie. In retirement, ted took on a number of hobbies. He was an outdoorsman and was an avid fisherman and hunter. Ted enjoyed golf as a pastime in Florida. He was a country music enthusiast, listening to country music in hospice until his passing, and fan of old western films. Ted was an animal lover and will be missed by his dog and sidekick , Kiki. He was an avid travel, having visited every state in the United States along with numerous world continents. Ted was a kind and generous human being who had a heart of gold. He always found the good in people.
Ted was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Lee Center; brother, Lawrence Earl Center; and step grandson, Brian Martzolff.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Center; sons, Theodore Michael Center (Colleen), Eric Douglas Center (Cynthia), and Timothy David Center (Stephanie); brother, Everett Lyle Center; grandchildren, Paige, Garrett, and Kelsey Center; step-children, Kelly Schafer (Tom) and Kyle McCorkle(Paula Yoo); step grandchildren, Jonathan, Kevin, and Nicole; step great grandson, Carson; many nieces and nephews; and close friend, Mickey Daniels.
