Philip is survived by his mother, Grace Guercio; daughter, Kimberly Robideau; son, Michael Guercio; brother, Natale Guercio; sisters, Sarah Schliessman and Concetta Pizzarello; granddaughter, Payden Guercio; grandsons, J.J. Robideau and Thomas Robideau and his dog, Daly.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace “Cookie” Guercio; father, Joseph Guercio and his dog, Perry Scaffoli.
Philip Guercio was born on September 10, 1944 in Brooklyn, New York to Joseph and Grace. He graduated from Uniondale High School in 1962. He married “Cookie” Daly, the love of his life on February 19, 1968. After moving upstate from Long Island, Philip continued working for his father with his brother hanging and finishing drywall. Within two years, the couple completed their family with their second child. His children remember him as a strong, hardworking, kind father who was a devoted family man.
Philip was an accomplished drywall contractor who built a successful business, P & N Drywall with his brother. He was a generous individual who lived and helped his family at all costs. He fought in the Viet Nam War and was proud of his service.
A funeral will be held at 3:00P.M. on July 11, 2020 at Aycock Funeral Home 1504 SE Floresta Drive Port St Lucie, Florida 34983 with a reception to follow. Father Mark will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Philip Guercio’s life.
