Born in Wilmington, DE, Len was a resident of Fort Pierce, FL for 26 years, moving from Newark, DE.
During the Normandy Invasion and in the Battle of the Bulge, during WWII, he served as a Medic in the US Army.
Prior to retirement, Mr. Allman was a Mortgage Broker in Newark, DE.
Len attended Temple University. He also served as President of Ft. Pierce Wood Carvers Club and as a carving teacher.
Survivors include his wife Edythe Allman of Fort Pierce, FL; one daughter, Vicki Bradford of Dover, DE; two sons, Larry David Allman of Fort Pierce, FL, Brian Allman of Los Angeles, CA; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two step-sons, Daniel Repole of Port St. Lucie, and Steven Repole, of Elkton, MD; and one brother, Allan Allman of Ventura, CA.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 21, 2011, 10:00AM at the Aycock Funeral Home Chapel in Port St. Lucie, FL.
Inurnment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Fort Pierce, FL.
