Born in New Hyde Park, NY, John originally moved to Miramar, FL in 1973 from Garden City, NY, and has been a resident of Port St. Lucie since 1993. He served in the US Army during World War II. John was the proprietor of A & J Naso’s Bar and Grill in Garden City Park, New York for 27 years before moving to Florida where he then worked for various Home Depot stores throughout South Florida until his retirement.
John was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Port St. Lucie, FL. He was a Fourth Degree Knight, Past President of the Polish American Club, and a volunteer firefighter for the Garden City Park Fire Department for 21 years.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Jennie Naso; daughters Paulette Naso of Key Largo, FL and Deidre Clayton of Vero Beach, FL; brothers Anthony and Joseph Naso; and sisters Marie Noto, Madeline Finnegan, and Rose Kaplerchuck. He was preceded in death by his daughter Deborah Naso, and brothers Cono, Patrick, Angelo, Michael and Felice Naso.
Visitation will be from 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Aycock Funeral Home in Port St. Lucie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Fort Pierce, FL.
