Joan E Lyons

Joan E. Lyons, 88, of Fort Pierce, Florida, passed away on Wednesday April 5, 2033. Predeceased by her husband James Lyons. Loving mother of Kathleen Stanton, Colleen (nee Stanton) and her husband Philip Lombardo, and William Stanton and his wife Shelly. Cherished grandmother of Kielashandra Barden, David Barden and his wife Devon, Stephanie (nee Lombardo) and her husband Steffan Baker, Philip Lombardo and his wife Jessica, and Samuel Stanton. Adored great-grandmother of Sawyer Baker and Weston Lombardo. Joan was a career librarian and educator, teaching at George Washington Middle School in Ridgewood, New Jersey for 25 years before retiring in 1997. Joan was an award-winning painter, a passionate reader, and a talented swimmer. Joan was very proud of her Irish heritage. She also enjoyed cooking, and spending time on the beach. A wonderful woman full of life and love, she will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

A Celebration of Life for Joan will be held Monday, April 10, 2023 from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM at Aycock Funeral Home, 1504 Southeast Floresta Drive, Port St. Lucie, FL 34983. In lieu of flowers, donation can be sent to Treasure Coast Hospice at https://treasurehealth.org/292/Donate
