Janice E Christensen

Born October 17, 1946 to Harold and Margaret Young of Rural Saybrook, IL, she was a resident of Fort Pierce for 15 years.

Janice graduated from Gibson City High School, IL and earned her degree in Music from Wesleyan University, IL.

Mrs. Christensen taught music to many people in IL both privately and at multiple schools before moving to Florida and finishing her career at Floresta Elementary School and FK Sweet Magnet School.

Janice was a member of Treasure Coast Victory Center.

She was preceded in death by her mother Margaret Young, father, Harold Young and son Joshua Richard Christensen.

Survivors include her husband, David R. Christensen of Fort Pierce, FL; three children, Eric Christensen and his wife Anjanette of Melvin, IL, Christina Palmeri and husband Norman of Stuart, FL, Jon Christensen and wife Liz of Los Angeles, CA; siblings, Judy Beetzel, David Young, Mary Brenneman, Nancy Hrushka; and five grandchildren, Dylan Christensen, Riley Christensen, Elijah Christensen, Shiloh Christensen and Ava Palmeri.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 9, 2013 from 1:00PM-4:00PM at the Aycock Funeral Home, Port St. Lucie, FL, with a service following at 4:00PM at the Funeral Home in Port St. Lucie, FL.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of choice.

Burial will be private.
