After almost 91 years of volunteering, entertaining, and building enduring relationships at home, work, and as a volunteer, Donald “Pe” Lambert passed away on April 20, 2022 to join his Father, Mother, 2 Brothers and his wife Carol. Don raised two sons who loved spending every minute possible with him to the very end. He was blessed with two daughter-in-laws who’s care for him both extended and enriched his long life. Don’s relationships with his grandchildren and great grandchildren was a blessing to all. Relationships were always important to him, whether family, extended family, work or volunteering.
To the very end he shared his sense of humor and set an example of how to die with great dignity.
Don is survived by his son Don Jr and wife Lynn, son Mike and wife Christine, his 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, his sisters Sylvia and Dorothy, and his nieces and nephew who remained very close to him.
A Catholic Mass will be held in Don’s honor at St. Bernadette Catholic Church,
350 NW California Blvd, Port St. Lucie, FL 34986 on May 11, 2022 at 10am, and all are welcome to attend. A memorial service will also be held in Shirley Massachusetts at a later date for family and friends.
In lieu of flowers Don would love to know that family and friends contributed to the two organizations with whom he volunteered for over 30 years, The Red Cross and/or Hospice. Hospice certainly honored Don’s volunteer services in their unbelievably compassionate care for him in his time of need. For that the family remains eternally grateful.
