Angel was born in Toa Baja, Campanilla, Puerto Rico. He had been a resident of Port St. Lucie for the past twenty-three years coming from Passaic, New Jersey.
He served twenty seven years in the United States Army. The U.S. Army awarded Angel his Purple Heart Medal for his conspicuous valor, extraordinary heroism and couragenousness in the face of the enemy during his service in the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Aida Luz Alamo; one daughter, Shydin Ines Knight and her husband Eliphaz; one son, Angel Saul Alamo; two sisters, Julia Alamo and Carmen Ines Lopez; three grandchildren, Tianna Marie Cedeno, Tishante Angel Ingram and Angel Luis Alamo; one great grandson, Cedrick Sterlin Minick Jr.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm; Monday, May 22, 2017 at Aycock FH-Byrd, Young & Prill Chapel, 1170 SW Bayshore Blvd, Port St. Lucie, FL 34983.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am; Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Aycock FH-Byrd, Young & Prill Chapel, 1170 SW Bayshore Blvd, Port St. Lucie, FL 34983. Burial will follow at 1:45 pm at South Florida National Cemetery,6501 South State Road7, Lake Worth, FL 33467.
