Thomas Alexander Riddle, 67, of Ponce Inlet, FL passed away on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014. He was the beloved husband and soul mate of Naomi Riddle who he married on April 20, 1974 at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Orlando. Born in Maryville, TN on May. 24, 1947, he was the son of the late Richard and Sylvia Riddle. Tom was a graduate of Florida Southern University. Tom met Naomi while working at Martin Marietta and later started his own company, Comlink. He then taught business and communications at Maynard Evans High School. While teaching, Tom touched the lives of many underprivileged students giving them the opportunity to participate in a work-study program. In retirement, Tom started Daytona WebWorks and chaired several committees. His graphic work is still being used and enjoyed by many. He and Naomi were loyal members of Westminster By-The-Sea Presbyterian Church and Tom was currently working with the church building fund. In addition to his wife Naomi, he leaves his devoted children: Traci A. Laramee and her husband David Laramee and Alexis (Lexi) L. Williams and her husband Donald Williams of Virginia; three loving grandchildren: Austin, William and Lexi’s soon to be born son. He was the brother of Donna Chapin and her husband, Bill Chapin, currently of Houston, TX, and leaves several nieces, nephews, extended family members and a multitude of friends. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend the burial on Friday, Oct. 10 at 1 p.m. at Chapel Hill Cemetery, 2400 Harrell Rd, Orlando, FL with Chaplain Adriatico. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 11 at 1 p.m. at Westminster By-The-Sea Presbyterian Church, 3221 S. Peninsula Dr., Daytona Beach Shores, FL 32118, with Dr. Jeff Sumner presiding.
Following church services, family and friends will be invited to join the family for a time of continued fellowship. The family requests that in celebration of Tom’s life, everyone be casually dressed. Memorial donations may be made in Tom’s name to the Building Fund at Westminster By-The-Sea Presbyterian Church.
