Lori Bunning Rodgers, 60, of Edgewater, Florida went home with the Lord on Friday, April 14, 2023. She was born to Robert and Lois Bunning on September 25, 1962 in Chicago, Illinois and moved to Daytona Beach in 1967. She was a graduate of Daytona Beach Baptist Church and Christian School in 1979. Lori was a devoted wife to her husband and best friend David, and dedicated mother to her sons Justin and Jordan, treasuring every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Granny to her four beloved grandchildren. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. She made friends everywhere she went and held many life-long friendships. In addition to being a devoted and loving mother, Lori also loved her Shelties, her horses, horseback riding, working on her arts and crafts, building furniture, and traveling around the world. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her.
Lori joined her parents, Robert and Lois Bunning of Port Orange, FL; brother, John Bunning of Ferriday, Louisiana; in-laws, John and Betty Rodgers of Daytona Beach, FL; and sister-in-law Sherry Jenkins of South Daytona, FL.
Lori is survived by her husband, David Rodgers, of Edgewater, FL; son, Justin Duffy, his wife Katelyn Duffy, and their son, John Duffy of Spanish Fort, AL; son, Jordan Duffy and his wife Lindsay Duffy of Port Orange, FL; sister, Lois “Jeanie” Bunning and Brother, Bruce Bunning of Port Orange, FL; sister-in-law, Tootie Bunning of Ferriday, LA; step-Son, David Rodgers, wife Cathy Rodgers and their daughter Hailey Rodgers of Port Orange, FL; step-Daughter Lauren Ralbovsky, husband Mike Ralbovsky, and their son Cooper Ralbovsky of St. Augustine, FL; step-Daughter Kelly McDonald and her daughter McKinley McDonald; and a host of beloved cousins, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, in-laws and long-time friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home -Port Orange at 4815 S. Clyde Morris Blvd., Port Orange, FL 32129, with Pastor Ken May officiating from Antioch Christian Church of Canton, Georgia. Burial will follow at Volusia Memorial Park in Ormond Beach. The family will also receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday, April 21, 2023 at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home of Port Orange.
