Julie Ann Izzard (52) was born in Norwalk, Ohio. Her father Dennis Izzard and mother Anna Sword of Wellington were Blessed with this "bundle of joy" on June 7, 1972. As an infant she was our little "pooh bear" always smiling from ear to ear. Her independence became evident at a very young age.
Determination was her middle name. She was bound not only to survive but to succeed in life. Her journey would take her to California, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, and finally Florida. In 1998 in NY, she met the love of her life, Brett Barrett. Together they would blend and raise their family while working together at Barrett Race Cars, Brett being the owner/operator. After many years this business would bring them to Florida, and they settled in the Daytona Beach area. Here Julie would start her own business called "Sunny Beaches Cleaning Service" and did very well. Julie was a fabulous cook and baker, making everything homemade from scratch. A gifted trait she learned from her mother and one she was passing down to her granddaughters. They loved working with Julie in the kitchen.
Julie's passion in life was the LOVE and wellbeing of her beloved Brett, her children and grandchildren. When it came to FAMILY the words " No” and "can't" didn't exist in her vocabulary. Both Julie and Brett would help anyone they could and believed "where there's a will...there's a way". Whether she was gambling in a casino or playing board games and Yahtzee at home, her nature was always fun-loving. She loved LIFE, she loved Bingo, and she loved riding with Brett on his Harley Davidson. Brett was a member of the Harley-Davidson Daytona Beach. HOG Chapter and would go in groups on long rides all over Florida. Julie even made the trip to Key West MM-0.
She was Blessed with the love of Brett Barrett and family for 27 years. She leaves behind to mourn her loss her mother, Anna Russell, brother John Wayne Izzard, sister Heidi Russell, daughters Anastasia Izzard, Alycia Pickworth, Destiny, and sons Chad and Tony Barrett. Grandchildren Alexis, Nylie and Jazz as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Julie found strength through her church family at South Daytona Christian Church where she had many friends. Julie was greatly loved and will be forever missed.
Visitation for Julie will be held Friday, November 22, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 4815 Clyde Morris Blvd, Port Orange, FL 32129.
