Mass of Christian Burial for Joseph James Rispoli will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at Epiphany Catholic Church, Port Orange. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 4815 Clyde Morris Blvd., Port Orange.
Joseph was born November 14, 1929, in Chicago, Illinois. Son of the late James and Josephine Rispoli, Joseph was a Veteran of two wars and was a member of the VFW Post #3282. For many years he worked as a Laborer for the City of Chicago. He has been a resident of Port Orange since 1988. He enjoyed many years as a member of the Port Orange Horseshoe Club and was a lifelong bowler. He enjoyed dancing and loved gardening and woodworking. He was an active member of Epiphany Catholic Church for over 35 years.
Joseph was predeceased by his wife, Celeste, four brothers, three sisters, and two daughters. Left to cherish his memory are six children; Clifford (Patricia) Rispoli, Joyce (Steve, deceased) Strode, Josephine (Alvin) Galfi, Mary (Louis) Gonzalez, Joseph (Jean) Rispoli, Jr., Jim (Jeanne) Rispoli, 23 Grandchildren, many Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren, Nieces, and Nephews.
