John E. Hixon, 66, passed away in Halifax Health Hospice Care Center in Port Orange. John was born in Daytona Beach and a 1969 graduate of Mainland High. He was married to his love Carmen in 1980 and had one son, Chris. John graduated from the University of Central Florida in 1983 as a design engineer. His most recent home was in Tennessee so he could enjoy riding with friends in the mountains on his UTV. John is survived by his wife and son, his mother Martha Hixon and his sisters Kathy Brown and Lee Gittner. Donations may be made in his honor to Halifax Health Hospice.
