Esmeralda Emerita Castro Rendon De Gomez, 75, of Port Orange, Florida, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at the Hospice Care Center, Edgewater, Florida.
Mrs. Gomez was born in Colimes-Guayas, Ecuador and moved to Port Orange, Florida in 2009 from Paterson, New Jersey. She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Port Orange. She was a homemaker and surrogate mother to ten children whom she loved, raised and cherished as her own. She was quite the culinary artist and enjoyed sewing.
Mrs. Gomez leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 45 years, Carlos; two brothers, Terencio Trivino and Delfio Trivino; sister, Ines Castro-Lucero; nieces, Ines Gonzalez and Jasmine Woodward as well as other nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are under the care and trust of Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, Port Orange, FL.
