Edna P. Evans

Edna Evans, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on November 24, 2024, just three days shy of her 89th birthday in Port Orange, Florida. She was born on November 27, 1935, to William Harrison Buley and Ethel Scott Buley in Henderson, KY.

Edna married the love of her life, Roy Evans in 1952, and together they had four children: Jack Evans (Kelly) Elizabeth Roy (Calvin), Bruce Evans (Anna), and Daniel Evans (deceased). She was a loving grandmother to 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

After school, Edna dedicated her life to helping animals. She owned and operated Port Orange Pets for 27 years before retiring in 2021. She was passionate about animal rescue.

Edna was known for her warm smile, kind heart, and love for all creatures big and small. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and the countless furry friends she helped throughout her life.

Rest in peace, Edna Evans. Your legacy of love and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who knew you.

A visitation for Edna is at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home on Clyde Morris Blvd., Port Orange, FL, on Thursday, December 5th from 4 to 6.

Edna's funeral service and burial will be on Saturday December 7th from 10 to 1 with burial at 2 pm at Volusia Memorial Park in Ormond Beach, Florida.
