Dorothy Jane “Dot” Heise (nee Peck), 91, passed away on November 6 in New Smyrna Beach, FL. Dorothy was born in Crawfordsville, Indiana, on June 16, 1925 to the late Bruce and Lela Peck. She was predeceased in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Richard (Dick), sons Rick and Mark, daughter Laurie, and brother, Harold. She is survived by her loving brother Kenneth (Kathi) Peck of Phoenix, Arizona and many doting nieces, nephews and cousins. Dot was a true “Rosie the Riveter” during WWII, when she riveted the tailfins of B-25s. She was very proud to be recently included on the Wall of Honor at the WWII Museum in New Orleans. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home 4815 S. Clyde Morris Blvd, Port Orange.
