Aziz earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering in Egypt and earned his master's in science degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Pennsylvania; while working for IBM he helped design and develop and install reservation software for the airline industry. Aziz was instrumental in bringing the Coptic Church to Canada and later the United States and was a member of St. George Coptic Orthodox Church. He enjoyed traveling, cars, needlepoint, and spending time with family.
Aziz was preceded in death by his parents Tadros and Liza, his wife Laurice and siblings Joseph, Isis, Marie and George. He is survived by his son Al (Jamie) and their children Christopher (Leslie), Alexander and Katherine; and his son Louis (Donna), as well as his nephew Hani (Laila), and nieces Salwa and Mona (Ron) and their children and grandchildren.
A funeral mass for Aziz will be held Sunday, December 29, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at St George Coptic Orthodox Church, 300 N Halifax Ave, Daytona Beach, FL 32118. Burial will be private.
