Sheila Ann Gomez, beloved daughter, sister, sister in law, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2024, at the age of 44. She was surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 4, 1980 to Mary (Alice) and Guadalupe (Mike) Gomez, Sheila grew up in Port Lavaca, Texas where she attended Calhoun High School.
She is preceded in death by her father, both sets of grandparents her aunts and uncles.
She leaves behind her mother, Alice Gomez, her brother Mike, his wife Amanda and their children, Audrey, Mylee & Arian, her aunts, Belinda Coker (Charles) and Sally Garza (BG), uncle Luis Gomez (Linda) and numerous cousins.
She was always seen smiling in her hometown, loved and cherished by all who met her. Sheila was regular at the bingo and was often lucky. She also was seen buying a lotto ticket every once in awhile. She loved people and never meet a stranger. She befriended new people all the time and almost always seem to touch peoples hearts.
She was often speeding around town in her wheelchair, she might not have been able to walk, but she was a speedy little thing.
She loved playing games, putting puzzles together, trivia, her morning shows and coffee with her mother. She and her mother were out and about on a regular bases always on the go. Shopping, her nieces softball games, movies, casinos, parties and visiting family.
Sheila had a generous and big heart, she also had a smile that lit up a room. Her kindness was beyond measure. Even in death Sheila gave to others. A few months ago she signed up to be an organ donor and gave others a chance for life. What a spectacular human being she was.
A memorial service will be held in Port Lavaca on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Richardson Colonial Funeral Home from 2-4pm, it will be followed with a Celebration of Life and reception at New Beginning Church Annex from 4-6pm.

She is now a true shining star looking over all of us. Rest in peace my angel, go run, jump and skip in heaven. Until we meet again.
