Robert Allen Jenkins

Robert Allen Jenkins, 68 of Port Lavaca passed away, March 11, 2012. He was born October 8, 1943 in Bay City to the late Patton Ezell and Lillian Opal Maddox Jenkins. Robert grew up in Collegeport, Texas and graduated from Palacios High School. He served in the U.S. Army as a S4 M.P. and was stationed in Saigon, Vietnam from 1965-1967 and was a member of the Port Lavaca VFW. He retired from ALCOA after 33 years of service.

Robert is survived by his ex wife Betty Jenkins Cook; two daughters, Cherri Harrington of Dallas and Renee Rohan of Victoria; son, Kevin Jenkins of Kemah; seven grandchildren, Haylie, Kirstan, Gage, Jacob J., Jacob H., Blake and Payton; brothers, Pat of Brazoria, Harold of Houston, Roland of Huntsville and Mike of Markham; sister, Lynette (Bill) Randall of Del Valle.

A time of visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at the Richardson Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at the Richardson Colonial Funeral Home. Burial with full military honors under the auspices of the Calhoun County Veterans Joint Honor Guard will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.
