Jose Mateo Alvarado

Jose MATEO Alvarado, 67, of Tivoli passed away August 20, 2013. He was born November 8, 1945 in Cueramaro, GTO, Mexico to Jose Guadalupe and Albertina Trujillo Alvarado. He was an Agricultural Rancher/Farm Hand and member of Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Soledad Alvarado; daughters, Adelita (Vidal) Manzo, Rosalinda (Jonathan) Perez, Jessica (Gregorio) Granados; sons, Jose Guadalupe (Jennifer) Alvarado, Salvador (Silvia) Alvarado, Daniel (Jeanette) Alvarado, Hector (Norma) Alvarado, Jose Mateo Alvarado Jr., Ernesto (Kimberly) Alvarado, Nathaniel J. Alvarado; parents; sisters, Consuelo Rodriguez, Theresa Padron; brothers, Juan and Luz Alvarado; 23 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

A rosary will be held Friday, August 23, 2013 at 7 p.m. at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home with visitation to follow until 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church in Port Lavaca. Burial will follow at the Tivoli Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Salvador Jr., Joseph, Daniel Jr., Jose Mateo III, Carlos, Cesar and Hector Cristian Alvarado, Rodolfo Sosa Jr. and Joshua Arizmendi.

Honorary Pallbearers are Salvardo III, Aiden, Mark, and Randy Alvarado.

The family would like to give a very special thanks to Kindred Hospital and all the staff, Dr. Ramos, Dr. Sierra-Hoffman, Dr. Matey, Dr. George, Dr. Whitehouse, Dr. Meyer and Hospice of South Texas and all the staff.
