Donald W Tyson

Don Tyson, 84, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away sudden and unexpectedly Thursday, June the 26th at 11:00 a.m. He was born on March 6, 1930 in Wichita, Kansas to the late Logan and Amanda Tyson.

Don was an ordained minister of the gospel for fifty years, and also a successful business man, but more important a Christian and always willing to help those around him.

Don was married for 56 years to Rosea Lea Tyson. He had two children, Craig Tyson and Shelly Garcia; two grandchildren, Tana Sorrells and Samantha Garcia and one great-grandson, Gaven Lee Sorrells. Even though Don was called to his heavenly home he will always be on our minds and in our hearts.

Visitation will be at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home, 123 Newlin St, Port Lavaca, TX on Sunday, June 29, 2014 from 1-5 p.m. Funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church, 902 Calhoun St, Port Lavaca, TX on Monday, June 30, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8819 US Hwy 87 N, Victoria, TX.

Pallbearers are Roger Kroeker, Harold Evans, Anthony Gohlke, Danny Garcia, Brian Plunk and Bobby Meeks.
