David Louis Ramirez

David Louis Ramirez, 88, of Port Lavaca passed away October 19, 2024. He was born March 1, 1936 in Port Lavaca to Santiago Ramirez and Beatrice Perez. He attended Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife, Maria D. Mendez Ramriez; daughters, Lydia Garrett (Mike), Martha DeAmaral (Frank); sisters, Irene Roberts (Frank), Lupe Millis, Margaret Flores (Martin); brothers, Sammy Ramirez (Deborah), John Ramirez (Jane), Frankie Ramirez (Margaret); grandchildren, Patricia Youngblood (Jarreau), Leah Garrett, Christina Garrett, Alisia Garrett, Michelle Camacho (Joe), Mauricio DeAmaral, Marisol Jones, Crystal Solis; 17 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, James E. Ramirez and Tommy Ramirez.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 24, 2024 from 9-10 a.m. at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home. Following the visitation we will proceed to Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church for a rosary at 10:30 a.m. followed by mass at 11 a.m. with Father Richard officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Gardens.

Pallbearers are Joe Camacho, Jarreau Youngblood, Donovan Salazar, Dylan Johnson, Grayson Youngblood, Glover Girdy, Kaleb Camacho, and Gannon Youngblood. Honorary pallbearers are Frank DeAmaral, Mike Garrett, Fabian Ramirez, Ricky Ramirez, Aaron Ramirez, and Bobby Millis.
