Zenaida Salazar-David, age 83, of Port Jefferson, New York sadly passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023.
Born in the Philippines to her parents Mariano and Sista Leceta Salazar.
Zenaida leaves behind her beautiful family, her devoted beloved husband of 56 years, Ismael, her doting children Iszellyn, Juren and Ferdinand (Jacklyn Leung-David) and her most cherished grandsons Ethan and Nathan. Her loving siblings Mariano Salazar Jr., Ligaya Salazar-Palmero, Oscar Salazar, Corazon Salazar Sian and Norma Salazar Santos.
Zenaida graduated from the University of Santo Thomas, School of Medicine in 1963, moved from the Philippines to the United States to begin her medical residency at Fordham Misericordia Hospital. Upon finishing her residency and becoming a Board Certified Pediatrician, Zenaida served her community for 38 years, along with her dedication as a Medical Director of United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Suffolk. Zenaida's fun hobbies include ballroom dancing and traveling all around the world with her partner in crime Ismael.
All who knew and loved Zenaida will deeply miss her.
