Kevin Eugene Nugent

Kevin Eugene Nugent, a beloved resident of Port Jefferson, New York, passed away on November 25, 2024, at the age of 73. Born on August 11, 1951, Kevin was a hard-working and devoted individual, cherished by all who knew him.

Kevin was a Marine Engineer for the Port Jefferson Ferry and held a U.S. Coast Guard license. His dedication to his profession was evident throughout his career.

He was deeply devoted to his wife Alexis and their children, Kelly and Dean(Natalie). As a cherished uncle, Kevin was beloved by his many nieces and nephews. He was also a loving brother to Kerry(Felly), Heather, Matthew, and the late Jesse(Cookie), Colleen, and Tommy.

Kevin had a passion for music, being a fan of the Beatles and an avid player of the guitar and organ. He loved to cook and had a fondness for stargazing with his telescope.

A visitation will be held at O. B. Davis Funeral Homes, located at 4839 Nesconset Highway, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776, on November 29, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A prayer service will take place at the same venue on the same day from 7:00 pm to 7:30 pm. The committal service will be held at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Liberty Ave, Port Jefferson, NY 11777, on November 30, 2024, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Kevin Eugene Nugent will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his hard-working nature, and the joy he brought to those around him. He will be dearly missed by all those that loved him.
