Albert was the beloved husband of the late Olivia. He was the loving father of Christina Meyer and her husband John. Albert cherished his role as Pop to his granddaughter Alyssa Schlenker and her husband Scott.
In addition to his immediate family, Albert is remembered by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He is predeceased by his eight siblings: Thomas, Mary, John, Mae, Dick, Tony, Richie, and Chic.
Albert was passionate about baseball, particularly the NY Yankees, and enjoyed following their games. He had a deep appreciation for oldies music, often spending time listening to his favorite tunes. Albert was known for his daily ritual of reading the newspaper and tackling crossword puzzles with enthusiasm.
Above all, Albert's greatest joy was his family. He adored his granddaughter Alyssa and cherished the moments spent with her and his loved ones.
Albert R. Caputo will be remembered fondly for his love of family, his dedication to his hobbies, and his kind spirit. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth and affection that will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A visitation for Albert will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2024 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at O. B. Davis Funeral Homes, 4839 Nesconset Highway, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776. Funeral mass on Monday, July 22, 2024 at 10:45 AM at St James R.C. Church, 429 NY-25A, East Setauket, New York 11733. Interment to follow at St. James Cemetery.
