He is predeceased by his parents Elwood and Francis Jumper; and his son, Robert E. Jumper. Bob grew up in Binghamton, NY. He was born on February, 6th 1949. At the age of 18, Bob enlisted in the US Army. He valued this service highly and attained the rank of Private, 1st class. As part of this service, he served in the Vietnam War. He received three decorations of honor during his time with the US Army, Vietnam Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal. Bob wore his service proudly and close to his heart.
Bob is survived by his wife, Linda D. Jumper; his daughter, Patricia L. (Mike) Kuruc; his sister, Lori Reppard and family. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Richie (Christina) and their two sons, Mason and Logan, Caitlin (Anthony), Jackson, Kenny (Hayley) and their son, Isaiah, Courtney and Max. His loved ones will remember his love for his cats, trains, planes, air and car shows, photography, building model cars, gardening and video games. They will also hold close to their hearts all of his stories of him growing up and his time in the military; he was the best story teller with the best animations and details.
To honor Bob’s life and service, a visitation will be held on Monday, December, 23, 2024 from 1-2pm at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson, NY 13901.
