Binghamton: Nancy De Angelo, 88, of Binghamton, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2013. She was born March 25, 1925 in Utica, NY to Filomeana and Frank Guerriero. She is predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Anthony De Angelo and 8 siblings. She is survived by her children, Nancy and James Blakeman, Dr. Gregory and Susan De Angelo, Elizabeth De Angelo, Anthony and Judi De Angelo, Father Jude De Angelo O.F.M., C.O.N.V., Ronald and Tracey De Angelo, Jan and Shannon De Angelo, Randy and Mary De Angelo; her beloved 21 grandchildren, including Jody, Sarah, Nicholas, Douglas, Sara-Jane, Jennifer, Greg Jr., Jan Michael, Tom, Siena, Kendal, Santino, Giordano, Marianna, Luciano, Elizabeth, Joseph, Anthony, Jake, Julia, Rocco; 11 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; special nephew, James Totaro; her brother, Natale Guerriero; and her close friends, Peter and Debra Kessler and Rosann and Willie Vermilyea. Nancy graduated from General Hospital Nursing Cadet Corps in 1947. She worked 25 years for Dr. I. J. Rosefsky and 25 years at the Johnson City Methadone Clinic. Nancy's family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff at Bridgewater Nursing Home and to the staff at Wilson Hospital for their excellent care. Funeral services will begin at 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday, September 11, at Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St., Port Dickinson with a funeral mass to follow at 10:00 a.m. at St. James Church, 147 Main St. Johnson City with Fr. Jude T. De Angelo, O.F.M., C.O.N.V. officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, you may make a contribution to Seton Catholic Central Select Chorus, 70 Seminary Ave., Binghamton, NY 13905
