It is with heavy hearts and great sorrow that the sisters of Jean Paone announce the passing of their sister on Sunday, June 12th, 2022 in the comfort of her home. Jean suffered a debilitating illness and now found peace in the arms of Jesus. Jean was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Helen Neduchal, husband Ralph “Marco” Paone, and sister Mary Croop.
Jean and her husband were former franchise holders of the Arthur Murry Dance Studio in Binghamton, and co-owners of the Fireside Inn in Port Crane. Jean broke through glass ceilings and was named the First Woman Commodore of the Watkins Glen Yacht Club.
She is survived by her sisters, Patricia Heenan and Fran Betker, as well as her son Dante Paone; also surviving Jean are her cherished great-nieces Amanda and Nicole Brewer, and her “furry” little girl Paris.
A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Paul's Church, 282 Chenango Street, Binghamton, NY on Friday, June 17, 2022 at 10am. The burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation in Jean’s memory to the Binghamton Humane Society, 167 Conklin Ave. Binghamton, NY 13903, or St. Francis of Assisi, Building Fund, Chenango St. Binghamton, NY 13901.
