Dolores Hickling-Kramer, aged 96, was peacefully called home by her Lord on December 15th 2023. Born February 19, 1927 in Broome County, daughter of the late William and Daisy Dunn Badger. Dolores was preceded by her 1st husband, Donald E. Hickling and her 2nd husband William H. Kramer; her brothers, Bill Badger and Roy Wright; son in law Joseph Kristof and her beloved daughter Diane Lynn Spicer.
She retired from WINR Radio and TV of Binghamton after 20 years of service. She continued to serve the community as a home caregiver, where she enriched the quality of so many lives during their difficult times. As a believer, she exemplified what living by the Lord's word truly is. As a life-long member of Living Hope Alliance Church in Port Crane, she passed along her faith and joyous principles to all who walked through the door; always with a smile.
Her faith and joy shined the brightest when she was spending time with her children, grandchildren, extended family and friends. Her unwavering and unconditional love allowed everyone she interacted with to feel special. All who knew her never doubted how much she loved them and we all have been so very blessed to have had so many years with such a truly amazing woman.
She is survived by her daughter Connie Kristof and son Don (Patty) Hickling; her grandchildren Pamela (Erich) Weber, Chad Heath, Rebecca (Gerald) Caesar, Heather (Nathan) Trevett, Shannon (Ron) Hickling, Nicky (Matt) Keir; Jessica (Marc) Quinn; her great-grandchildren Devin(Candace), Gabrielle (George) , C’leigha (Tariq), Ethan, Jaymen (Destiny), Emily, Myles, Miah, Everett, Brody, Jayceon, Dawson, Quentin and 12 great-great-grandchildren!
She leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, laughter, strength of character, service to others and a true enjoyment of good food and good company. She never failed to have a smile, a hug and an “I Love You” every time she was near. Her generous spirit and wonderful memories will carry us all through till we meet again.
A special thank you to the amazing staff at Mercy House. The love, care and comfort you gave to her and to all of her family will never be forgotten.
