Daniel W. Parker, 79, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 25, 2021. He was predeceased by his mother Helen Fish. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Pat; son Daniel Parker; daughter Christine Hein and daughter and son-inlaw Kimberly & Kevin Ganow; granddaughter Kenna; sister in-law Diane Smith and Judy Stark & Don Backus. He also leaves behind his close friends Roger, Mike and Alan.
Daniel was born in Ithaca and was a longtime resident of NY. He graduated from Binghamton North High and found he was an avid car enthusiast from an early age. He raced stock cars at 5 Mile Point Speedway and Penn Can in the 60’s & 70’s walking away with a few trophies and a passion that would last his lifetime. .
He was generous, kind and always willing to offer a helping hand to others without hesitation. Values that continue on with his family. His dogs, Bella and Baby were never more than a few paw steps away whether he was gardening with his wife Pat, tinkering around the yard or just catching a quick nap with them. If he was gone for more than a few minutes they would wait in great anticipation for his return. They may not
understand at this moment where he has gone but they know he is already missed. Daniel will be forever remembered and missed by his family and by everyone who was blessed to have known him. A Memorial Service will be held at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at 10am.
