Charles R. Bryce, 86, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 2, 2023. He was predeceased by his parents Raymond & Adelaide Bryce, siblings Vivian Krmenec, Jean Bryce, Raymond, Jr., Donald and Jack Bryce and grandson Justin Bryce.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Gladys and their children Charles & Mary Bryce and Jason & Anne Bryce; grandchildren Ray & Holly, Eric & Melissa, Kaitlin & Keegan, Courtney & Josh, Tyler, Emily and Brady; great grandchildren Brook, Brantley, Brycen and Calvin, sister-in-law Joan Latsha and many nieces and nephews.Good friends Steve and Fran Strnatka.
Upon graduating from Binghamton North High School, he was employed by the A&P where he met his wife Gladys. They moved to Greene, NY in the early 60’s where he and his brother Don built his home on RT 12 as he was working for Eastern Plywood. He then worked for Raymond Corp. and left to pursue his career as an auctioneer and opened Bryce’s Auction House. He also worked for a few years driving bus for Greene Central Schools. After his retirement, Chuck and Gladys enjoyed their time in Florida and Virginia. He was a longtime active member of the Lions Club and the National Auctioneers Assn.
At Chuck’s request, there will be no funeral services. In lieu of flowers, those wishing kindly consider donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the Shriners or to a charity of your choice.
