It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Cecelia Smith (Volkman). Linda passed away suddenly, at home, on August 1st 2017.
Linda is survived by her children Claudine (Jason) and Kelly (Samantha), her sister Joanne, her brother Lance (Marian), Grandchildren- Christian, Oliver, Tianna, Alyssa and Tawnya, nieces, nephews, and many longtime friends. She is predeceased by her parents, her brothers Lloyd and Morris, and her loving husband of more than 50 years - Ronald Lorne Smith.
Linda was a Navy Officer’s wife, who primarily dedicated herself to raising her family and taking care of her home while her husband was at sea. She also spent many years selling Avon and delivering papers for the Vancouver Sun and Province.
Donations, in lieu of flowers, to the BC SPCA or Little Paws Rescue would be greatly appreciated.
