I was shocked to hear about Graham passing away and unfortunately far too late to attend his service. I was vice- principal at Como Lake where I worked  with Graham and consider him one of the all star teachers of my 35 year career. Hen he retired early SD 43 list a fantastic teacher. He loved his students, was a great staff member, and approached his craft as a true professional. I can't say enough good about this wonderful man. This photo above is exactly how I remember him, full of joy and humor. All the best to the family.

I taught with Gorden at Winslow during its final year. It was a momentous one for me and Gorden made it one of the best. I remember Gorden's electric smile and quick wit. I remember a man, a teacher, a colleague whose very being exemplified what was and is best in our profession. Most of all, I remember Gorden's natural humanity: kindness, gentleness and warmth. Being a member of that English Department was both a joy and an refined lesson in how to be a teacher for all students. My condolences to Gordon's family.

Graham ..you were a great friend and mentor..i am saddened to hear of your passing..it was an honour to work under your supervision and it was fun to have a few beers on a Friday..you made me think and you made me laugh..thanks for helping me to become a teacher..your stories of your sons was always with pride..your love for Sonja was true...you will be missed..until we meet again

Dear Stewart Family,
My sincere and heartfelt condolences to you during this difficult time. "Mr Stewart" was by far my favourite teacher not only at Como Lake but throughout my education. I will forever remember his kindness and patience and his ability to motivate his students to achieve more than what they felt they were capable of. I had the priviledge of curling with him not only as a coach but also when I was one of a small group of students invited to play with the Coquitlam Teacher's League. I don't know if he ever realized the impact that had on me as a geeky teenager. I hope you are all able to find peace in his passing knowing how treasured he was by so many and the impact he had on so many lives.

Please add one more to the many people who have said how much they appreciated Mr. Stewart's English classes (Como Lake). That infectious grin and sense of humour! My thoughts are with his family and friends.

Dear Stewart Family, I'm so sad to hear about the passing of Mr Stewart. I was just talking about him the other day, he was one of a couple of my teachers at Winslow in the 70s that really made an impression on me. I wasn't a very good student and as result didn't like school much but he was kind,understanding and made learning fun. He was a wonderful teacher!!! Again I'm so so for your loss.

Dear Stewart Family, Please accept my condolences. Mr. Stewart was my favourite teacher - funny, kind, and patient. He inspired me to always be better and was one of the main reasons I went into teaching. I have thought often of him and the magic he brought to his classes. I am sorry I will not be able to make it to his Celebration of life but I know there will be many stories shared about those who's life he touched. He will be sorely missed.
