Shirley Theresa Scott

Our beloved mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great, great-grandmother Shirley Theresa Scott departed peacefully on October 28, 2024, at the Golden Age of 87. She was born to the parents of Esther Rennalls and James Lowe on September 23, 1937, in the Parrish of Kingston Jamaica.

She migrated to the United States in 1969 to Boca Raton, FL. In 1972 she met the love of her life and soulmate Roland Leggett Scott of Deerfield Beach Florida, and they joined in Holy Matrimony on July 30, 1973.

In 1984 [November] Roland and Shirley had a vision to move to Port Charlotte, FL Their lives turned in a greater direction when they heard the voice of God to begin a church called Emmanuel Pentecostal Church of Deliverance [God Is With Us] in the city of Punta Gorda, Florida. Their titles changed from just Dad and Mom to Founders and Overseers Roland and Prophetess Shirley Scott, who lived a wonderful life before he preceded Shirley in death on November 21, 2020.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parent James Lowe and Esther Rennalls, her two brothers Winston Lowe and Vincent Lowe, her son Eugene [aka] Joshie who preceded his parents in death at the age of 39. Deerfield Beach, FL. She left a legacy of [10 wonderful children]. Theresa [Robert] Jackson of Port Charlotte, FL; Mark [Tracy] Scott of Byram, MS; Darnell Scott of PC, FL. Lawrence Scott of PC, FL, and Lacretia Scott of Tampa, FL.

Shirley lived long enough to experience many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren and a host of other sorrowing relatives, associates, and friends. Shirley will be deeply missed and forever remembered in the “hearts” of her sister-in-laws [Miss Joyce B. Scott] and [Veronica "Joy" Lowe].
