Nadine Hoosier Riley, 77, of North Port, FL, passed away March 20, 2016 after an extended illness. She was born on August 12, 1938 in Washington DC to Bascom S. and Jean Fritter Compton. She married James Lehman Hoosier on August 1, 1955 and together they had five children. Their home was in Nokesville, VA where he worked as a farmer until his death in June 1974. Nadine was a school bus driver for Prince William County in the Brentsville School District in Nokesville, VA.
She married Dale Thomas Riley of Massena, NY in October 1976 and they moved to North Port, FL. She was an avid bowler and participated in many tournaments. She loved gardening, creating with her hands and took great enjoyment in feeding the many beautiful birds and squirrels in her backyard.
Nadine is survived by her husband Dale Riley and her children Arlene Keplinger of Bealeton, VA, James �"Ricky†(Debby) Hoosier of Nokesville, VA, Wanda �"Jeannie†Powers of Conway, SC, Thomas �"Tommy†(Donna) Hoosier of Elkwood, VA, Lisa (Ray) Reser of Marysville, OH; a brother, Eugene �"Sonny†Compton of Fries, VA, sister-in-law Marie Embrey of Manassas, VA, brother-in-law Darrel Hoosie of Virginia; along with 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, her sister, Barbara Spindle and her son-in-law Joe Keplinger.
