Joyce Ann Giguere, age 74, of Arcadia, Florida passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2024. Joyce was born in Tokyo, Japan.
Joyce had the largest, most lovely dark eyes you ever saw. Joyce was a caring, resourceful, dedicated person to all she encountered. Definitely a proud, kind, and independent soul. She was persistent and tough when needed. She loved her career as Program Supervisor of the Maine DHHS Central Intake for incoming calls regarding child abuse. Joyce enjoyed new challenges, such as down~hill snow skiing, day sailing, hiking mountains with grandson, Chad, trail biking with grandson, Vincent, and trail riding our horses in Southwest Florida. She loved her three sons tremendously, she loved talking with her three sons, Eugene, Dane, and John, and with Arthur, her brother. Joyce has another brother, Carrol, who lives in London. She was in regular contact with her cousins, including, Nancy, along with best friend, Naomi, and close friendships with Laren and Nancy Jo here in Florida.
Joyce loved animals, and a stray dog we adopted at the farm. At the Hacienda, she had two, feral kitty cats she adored. And, most of all, she loved her husband, John, her best friend and soul~mate, for the past forty two years. Joyce was blessed with having lived a good life. The sweet Angels have ridden down on their horses, with Harley, one of her favorite Tennessee Walkers, and Joyce has jumped on, bare back, riding with the Angels to the Rainbow Bridge, to Eternal Life, pain and cancer free.
