Frederick Allen Ogrodowski, affectionately known as "Ogie", passed away peacefully at age 86 on January 10th, 2024 in Port Charlotte, Florida.
He was born on February 28, 1937, to Aloysius and Marian Ogrodowski in Hammond, Indiana. He lived in Munster and Dyer, Indiana before settling in Florida. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Pam. He is also survived by his son Jeffrey (Cynthia), sister-in-law Janet (Gus) Hartoonian, sister-in-law Shirley Ogrodowski, brother Larry (Darlene) Ogrodowski, brother Rick (Celia) Ogrodowski, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Ogie started working at Inland Steel as an electrician. He later owned his own business, Union Electric. He was a huge fan of football, watching NASCAR, and Corvettes.
He was a proud veteran. There will be a private service and burial at Sarasota National Military Cemetery in Sarasota, Florida.
