Evelyn, a native of Westminster, MD , was the daughter of Caroline Reese and William E. Sullivan. Lucinda Rachel Sullivan, her precious grand-mother ushered Evie into life on March 5, 1919.
A graduate of Westminster High School (1936), she enjoyed an exciting career in a variety of secretarial positions making changes when she desired - feeling that positions in diversified businesses vastly broadened her knowledge in the world of business.
Evelyn, who loved the ocean waves greeting the beach, retired to Venice to enjoy swimming, walking on the beach at sunset, laughing and conversing with friends , Bible study at Emmanuel Lutheran, and Bridge Clubs, dancing, bowling, theater as well as volunteer work at the senior center, hospital, and her church. Her ambition was to continue working as long as she was able and to devote as much time as possible to furthering the ideals and aspirations of the Business and Professional Women's Club and other civic organizations.
Her beautiful smile and laughter will be missed by family , friends, and her compassionate and loving care-givers at Luke Haven.
